Workouts, family, and Politics

Still working out every day, a few times a day and eating great for most of the week, but then family stuff comes up and maybe eating good 50% LOL  I've started taking "green superfood" every day (adding it to my protein, collard greens, flax seed, berry smoothie).  I'm hoping to see healthy results soon, as in my hair condition, skin, energy, and going "regular" if you know what I mean ;)  I'll keep you posted :)

So this past week we have been at my brother-in-laws for a Celebration of Life (my sister-in-laws mom passed away) and for my nephews birthday.  Both days were filled with family and food.  Those are the two days when I didn't eat great, but while at home and the rest of the week I ate 100% healthy/clean and I made sure to walk and workout more to compensate.

The temps are warming up fast here.  We are going to be in the 80'sF all week, so no excuse getting outside and moving my body, right?  I'm loving it!!

So, Friday the Royal Wedding happened and Sunday we caught/killed Osama...quite the weekend!
~I was not interested in the wedding, but Ash came home from school and of course they were re-playing the whole thing, so I sat and watched it with her.  It was cute the glances the couple took and the gleam in their eyes.  The dress was beautiful of course, but I found it odd that the only kiss they took was on the balcony and that was even a quick peck.  I guess tradition is very different, and that's okay :)
~I have to be honest about us killing that man.  I don't fully believe it to be true.  If it were true, why in the world would they have buried his body at sea so very fast??  I find it hard to believe that out of everything our President has promised, THIS is what he follows through with?  The hardest one of all?  This is a man who kept pushing health care reform down our throats when the majority wanted no part of it, spending money that the states don't have at this time on a bill that we didn't want at this time.  Heck, he couldn't even clear the "don't ask don't tell" rule, but THIS he did??  I just find it very hard to swallow....time will tell.

So, I'm still looking for a job.  Wed. I go to this resume writing class, which will help me better and give me more confidence when looking, then hopefully something will come up.

Have a wonderful week and stay healthy :)

hi Colette I know you don't like President Obama. When we don't like a president or be it anyone we will always focus on the negative. Bush also has pages of things he did ..100 times worse but those who are against Obama never mention it. I guess it is like anything in life. When we don't like someone we will always focus on the negative and those we like we will let the negative things slide and not mention them. I find that in everyday relationships with people too.
Whatever it is though he had to get rid of the body fast. I don't understand why people don't get that. If he did not the United States would even be more in a threat. The terrioist would do anything to get their hands on that body if it was stored anywhere. If they took Obama alive that would have been the worst situation ever. They would do anything to get him back. You would be living in fear the rest of your life. Also do you think that Osama would not make a tape and release it like in the past to show you he was not dead. Who would take a chance of saying they killed him knowing that could happen.
I am just saying we can't keep focusing on the negative and looking for the bad in everything.

Hey Ruby, so glad you are still here! Believe it our not, it's not about being republican or democratic, I don't, as many others, believe in any politician at frist. Yes, Bush had many wrongs, as does every other President has and will continue to have. To many, any politician is dirty, corrupt, and we vote for the lesser of the two evils usually. Every one of them lie at some point, and then get caught later, and then they do something to distract the fact. You are right about the truth coming out if it was false and the wrong person was killed. They will let that be known asap for sure!

I know you think highly of Obama, but as a President, he's not that great and his ratings have been down for some time. As a man, he is a wonderful person and someone I can see hanging out with.

When you talked about going "regular", thought you might say I'll keep you poosted.

Naughty me. I know slapped wrist and all that :-p.

Good to know things are going pretty well for you, so hopefully it continues.

:-) :-).

LOL consider your wrist slapped ;) and what's this "hopefully" crap? Did you lose faith in me already LOL

I would love for once, someone who is an Obama fan, to just tell me ONE thing he's done that you consider to be good? I always find it interesting when someone defends Obama that they never mention anything he's done that keeps them a fan. Instead they go straight to talk about Bush and all the things he's done bad. Just sayin!!
I will add that even though I did not vote for him. I was really hoping he would do good as so many counted on him to do so.

I agree though with Ruby, that if this wasn't true, Bin would have had a video so fast out there showing he was alive.
I've said this before about tossing him in the sea. One, they didn't want a memorial for others to be able to come to and also it is the Muslim law to be burried within 24hrs. The government was trying to be somewhat respectful about that.
Yes,the muslims, believe the burial should be where they died, but in this case, it was NOT gonna happen!

Please keep us inform if you become regular :)

Maggie, you are so right about the ones who come to Obamas rescue! Like I said, I think he is a great human being and a wonderful family man, but as a President I think he lacks big time! At least with Bush, he stood by his word and maybe he should have budged towards the end, he is a man of his word. Obama came to the campaign with so many promises and not one has he made true...until now. Gas is up double since he's been in office, jobs suck, taxes suck, screwing the "rich" who are the ones giving people jobs and supporting this Country, ect. ect. I know some of this is fall-out from when Bush was in office, but he has done nothing to improve the state that we are in!

Okay, I need to chill out LOL
I will make sure to keep you updated on my regularity ;)

Sorry I couldn't resist. You asked for one I know. To me it is just odd how when Bush tapped phones ...lied ..put your country in one said a peep or somehow justified it. President Obama gets Osama and still there is complaining. It just goes to show no matter what he does you will never be happy until he is out. You will always find fault..which I find sad in a way.
Nothing will ever be good enough not even capturing Osama.
Sometimes we should enjoy the good things in life and stop looking for fault in everything. You know if Bush captured Osama I would have just been happy..period..the funny thing is you would be happy too and not questioning it. No it is not going to end terrorism but it will give the families of those that were killed closure and it does anyone who has had a family member lost at the hands of a killer.
Just enjoy life!! Really!

Colette said...

Ruby you are funny!

Believe me, I enjoy life fully and I don't ever let politics ruin life for me. It is just a topic and nothing more. We dont' have to like everyone and I don't waste my time on the small things. It's true i don't like Obama or most democrat politicians, but that never stops me from enjoying all that is around me. We all have different views and who's to say who is right or wrong. We speak our minds and we take and leave what we will. I repect your views, but please repect mine in return. Politics are never worth fighting over :)

Have a great day and I hope everything is going well for you :)
